The original concept was to produce an anti-war CD to be used as a fundraiser for grass-root peace groups by allowing them to sell the CDs at their events and to keep the profits.
The CDs have also been sold around the world at commercial outlets, spreading the peace vibe, where the profits are donated to anti-war groups.
Peace Not War has recently expanded and become a collective: a self-organising, autonomous group of artists, creatives, activists, promoters and techies, who provide the conscious vibes and the positive cutting edge at the heart and soul of the movement.
Free from commercial and institutional expectations or requirements, the PNW Collective creates and collects the best anti-war music and art from around the world and offers it on CD, DVD and at www.peace.fm - the best online jukebox in the world containing more than 500 free MP3s.
